By Mounting Method

Drill mount rimless glasses are the most common type. Small holes are drilled through the lens at the bridge and outer edge, and the frame hardware is attached directly through these holes. This is the standard construction used in most quality rimless frames.

Nylon cord semi-rimless frames use a thin nylon cord along the bottom of the lens. This is technically semi-rimless (not fully rimless), but is sometimes marketed alongside true rimless frames. True rimless glasses have no cord, just the hardware mount.

Spring tension rimless frames use a spring-loaded mechanism rather than screws to hold the lens. These are less common but require less maintenance since there are no screws to loosen.

By Lens Shape

Rectangular rimless glasses — the most popular shape. Clean horizontal lines, versatile for most face types, professional aesthetic.

Round rimless glasses — a classic intellectual look, particularly popular on oval and square faces, currently experiencing a fashion resurgence.

Oval rimless glasses — the most universal shape, flattering on virtually every face type.

Cat-eye rimless glasses — upswept outer corners, traditionally associated with women’s fashion, but increasingly popular in unisex styles.

Aviator rimless glasses — the classic teardrop shape without a frame, creating a bold but refined look.

By Material

Titanium rimless — lightest, strongest, hypoallergenic. The premium choice.

Beta-titanium rimless — slightly more flexible than pure titanium, popular with active wearers.

Stainless steel rimless — durable and more affordable than titanium, slightly heavier.

Aluminum rimless — lightweight and corrosion-resistant, a less common but interesting option.
